January 15, 2012 Happy New Year!
President's Message Aloha Members and Friends, Living and designing in Hawaii is an interesting and rewarding enterprise. A favorite aspect of life here is the cultural integration that we experience. January 23, 2012 is Chinese New Year, and also the Year of the Water Dragon. The Feng Shui Horoscope describes this year as transformational and life-changing. Generally speaking, there should be more “goodies” than in 2011; however you may interpret that prediction. It is also a good year for self-improvement, and entering into calculated investments to build wealth. This year is thought to hold much promise and could be a major transition in one’s life. As in all predictions, it all depends on how the individual decides to “ride the mighty water dragon”. There are many fabulous festivities honoring Chinese New Year throughout the state, and it is my hope that you are able to engage yourself in this very special time of year. Most of all, I wish you the best for this coming year. May we all embrace the Year of the Dragon with a zest for life and a fresh enthusiasm! Respectfully submitted,
